Session 1.2: CASE STUDIES ON HOW PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARIES CAN BE INVOLVED IN A FULL, INCLUSIVE LIFE

Case studies or learning sessions about how to improve health literacy about dementia in the community and about how to teach to people with dementia and their caregivers are the gist of this section that is focused on learning by doing methods. The good practices and case studies will be collected, listed, analysed, evaluated and presented in interactive sessions to evaluate the scaling up of the reproduction in different contexts represented by the partners and associated partners of the consortium and by their stakeholders. Audit sessions define the criteria to classify the good practices cases. The education agency inside the consortium coordinates the audit helping the consortium to define the criteria to evaluate the match between didactic methods and target needs. For instant brainstorming could be a too de-structured approach for a person with problems of focusing and summarising, meanwhile gamification or learning by doing experiences with a special improvement of tutorial function could be more effective with person with dementia. A calm tone of voice or wide and emphatic gestures to bolster verbal communication contents are examples that are collected from teacher experiences and analyse in a section of didactic barriers and methods.
